Bollywood Janta Party, Jamnagar: how one café night priced four different tickets

On 29 August 2026, Jam Sham Café — The Highway One and Upahaar Events ran Bollywood Janta Party in Jamnagar: a Bollywood night with DJ Kishan and DJ Bhavya, hosted by Anchor 4mi, doors from 7:30pm.

The music is not the part worth writing about. The ticket table is.

Four tickets for one room

The night went on sale as four separate ticket types:

• Girl only — ₹349, admits 1
• Boy — ₹350, admits 1
• Couple — ₹699, admits 2
• Group of 4 — ₹1,200, admits 4

Read the per-head numbers rather than the prices and the structure appears:

• single — ₹349 or ₹350 a head
• couple — ₹349.50 a head, so effectively no discount at all
• group of four — ₹300 a head, a real 14% cut

The couple ticket is not a discount. It is a convenience — one payment, one code, two people. The group of four is where the actual incentive sits, and that is a defensible place to put it: a group of four is the booking that fills a table, arrives together, and stays.

What a bundle does to your door

Here is the part that catches people out. A "Group of 4" ticket is one QR code that admits four people, not four codes. That has two consequences worth planning for.

The first is arithmetic. Sell five group tickets and five couple tickets and that is thirty people arriving on ten codes. If you size your door staff by codes sold, you will be short.

The second is operational. Whoever scans has to be told the number, or they will wave one person through and turn the other three away. On this platform the scanner shows ADMITS 4 in the result, so it is not a judgement call at the gate — but if you are running a bundle on a spreadsheet and a guest list, that is the thing that goes wrong at 8pm with a queue behind it.

If you are pricing a night like this

Three things this table gets right:

1. The bundle is the cheapest per head, and only just. 14% is enough to

make a group book together and not enough to make singles feel taxed.

1. Every tier is a round-ish number. Nobody at a door is making change for

₹347.

1. The tiers are named for who buys them, not for what they cost. "Group of

4" tells a buyer what to do. "Tier 3" does not.

And one thing to decide before you copy it: whether you want a couple ticket at all if it carries no discount. It is a real convenience and it sold, so the answer here was yes — but it is a decision, not a default.
