Miles & Brew: three activities, one morning, ₹129
chirag · · 2 min read

Miles & Brew ran on 6 September 2026 at LOCA LATTE PLAY, Jamnagar — a Miles With Loca morning built around three things in sequence, for ₹129.
- A community run, 6am as usual.
- A hands-on coffee session — not coffee served, coffee made: pick your base,
mix your ingredients, add cold foam, choose toppings, build your own cup.
- Pickleball on the court afterwards.
Stacking, not extending
There are two ways to make an event bigger. You can extend it — same activity, longer. Or you can stack it — several short activities, one after another.
Extending a 6am run does not work. There is a distance past which a community run stops being a social event and becomes training, and the people who came for the company drop out well before the people who came for the kilometres.
Stacking works because each block has its own reason to stay:
- The run is the anchor. It is why the group exists and why anyone is awake.
- The coffee session is the hook. Making it yourself is participation, not
catering — and it is the block that gives people forty minutes standing around talking, which is the actual product.
- Pickleball is the exit ramp. Easy to learn, easy to leave, and it lets the
morning end by drifting rather than by announcement.
Why the middle block is doing the most work
Note what the coffee block is not: free coffee at the finish line. Every running group already does that, and nobody stays for it.
The difference between "there is coffee afterwards" and "you will make your own coffee, with cold foam and toppings, and it will take half an hour" is the difference between a perk and an activity. One is something you collect and leave with. The other is a reason to be somewhere for a while.
If you are trying to turn a recurring meet-up into something people will pay for, that is the test worth applying to whatever you are adding: does it give people a reason to stand still together, or just something to carry away?
The price stayed the same
₹129, the same as a run morning with nothing attached. Three activities did not become a three-times ticket, and that is the right call for a community event whose growth depends on nobody having to think about whether this week is worth it.
The event page is still up: Miles & Brew. The rest of what the city has run is on the Jamnagar events page.

A percentage of your ticket price and a flat fee on the buyer are not the same deal, even when the headline number looks similar. Here is how to read what you are being charged.
