For organisers
ScanMyPass handles the ticketing, the money and the door. You handle the event.
Step one
Sign in with your email — you get a link, no password to remember. Then create an organisation or a club, with your city and a short description. This is the name attendees see.
A club works the same way as an organisation, but people can join it and you can run members-only events.
Step two
Invite the people who help you run things, and give each of them a role. Owners handle payouts and billing. Admins create and manage events. Staff can only scan tickets at the door.
Give volunteers the staff role. They can check people in without seeing your revenue or exporting your attendee list.
Step three
Submit your bank details and PAN once. This creates your payout account with Razorpay so ticket money can settle to you directly. Verification is not instant, so do it before you plan to sell.
Free events need none of this. You can publish and run them straight away. Coming soon: connect your own Razorpay account instead of ScanMyPass's shared one, from Payments settings.
Step four
Add the venue, date and description, then create your ticket types — a name, a price, and how many exist. Price zero means free. Publish when you are ready, and share the link.
An event with paid tickets will not publish until your payouts are verified. That guard exists so you never sell a ticket you cannot be paid for.
Step five
Open the scanner link on any phone and point the camera at each ticket. You see the attendee's name and ticket type. Already-used tickets are refused, with the time of the earlier scan.
The scanner is a web page, so hand the link to whoever is on the gate. Nobody installs anything.
Everything included
Free or paid ticket types with hard capacity limits, QR passes by email, and a scanner that runs in any phone browser. A used ticket is refused with the time of the first scan.
Named, reusable checkout forms — short answers, dropdowns, consent ticks, whatever you need to collect — picked from a dropdown when you create a ticket type rather than rebuilt per event.
Sell food alongside tickets. Attendees order and pay from the event page; volunteers see paid orders to hand over on the day.
Membership plans, joinable clubs, and fee payments tracked per member — for the organisations that are a club first and an event organiser second.
Who came, who never showed, what you took at the gate. Export the attendee list with every custom answer as a column.
LED wristbands synced to the show, rented per event with an operator — priced under whatever you have been quoted elsewhere.

Applicable GST is charged on the platform fee. You remain responsible for any GST due on your own ticket sales.
Worth knowing before you commit
You set your own refund policy and issue refunds yourself from your Razorpay dashboard, then cancel the ticket in ScanMyPass to release the seat. There is no automatic self-service refund button for attendees yet.
A refund returns the ticket amount less taxes and transaction fees — the payment gateway's charge on the original payment is not returned when a payment is reversed, so a refund is never quite the full amount the attendee paid. Say so in your event terms, so nobody is surprised at the point they ask for one.
The scanner verifies each ticket against the server, so the phone at the gate needs working mobile data. If your venue has no signal, plan for it — download your attendee list beforehand as a fallback.
If you need promotional pricing, create a separate ticket type at the lower price and share that link with the people it is meant for.
Recurring events do not repeat automatically yet. A weekly run club creates each week's event, which takes about a minute.
